To make a claim

In addition to being an advisor, your Assurancia broker is also a resource person in the event of a claim. The broker’s presence at a time like this is undoubtedly an added value for you. At Assurancia, we want the claims process to be as reassuring as possible for the customer, and for the experience to be a satisfying one.

An insurance claim is the act of having a loss and asking the insurer to honor the insurance policy. One of the major differences between an Assurancia insurance broker and a direct insurer is that, in the event of a claim, your broker is there to assist you and help you with your settlement. With a direct insurer, you’re left to deal with the insurer on your own, and the person who sold you the insurance product is often far away! Having an insurance broker with in-depth expertise and negotiating power with the insurer is a significant asset in ensuring that your insurance claim is settled satisfactorily.

An insurance policy is basically a promise to provide a service in the event of the occurrence of a covered risk. So it’s only when an insurance claim is made that you can see whether you’ve made the right insurance choices.

Assurancia's unique 3-step compensation principle is designed to :

  1. Receive the claim and forward it to the insurer
  2. 3 days later, your broker contacts you to ensure that the claim is being processed to your complete satisfaction.
  3. 30 days later, another contact is made with the customer to confirm that the claim has been settled to your complete satisfaction.

During normal business hours, you should contact your Assurancia broker directly. On evenings and weekends, however, in case of emergency, here’s a list of our emergency services according to your insurer.
