History

Since its founding by Mr. Pamphile Tardif in 1954 under the name of JLP Assurance Tardif inc. , our company has not stopped trying to improve, always with the first sight of the importance of service to the expectations of its Customer and beyond . At that time Mr. Pamphile Tardif exercised two professions, that of director of the ValinAdstock home and the insurance broker with a premium volume under management of approximately $ 80,000 .

In 1972 Maurice J. Tardif, Pamphile’s brother, bought the JLP office assurance Tardif inc. where he became the sole owner. The company was to be renamed to J Maurice Tardif inc.

In 1976, Robert Champagne joins as an employee of the office by opening a branch in Thetford Mines.

In 1978 the volume of premium managed $ 350,000. By cons, this volume is insufficient to be able to continue to represent all insurance companies. This is why a merger of Maurice J. Tardif and Bélanger et fils assurance inc. was made. The new entity would be called Bélanger-Tardif et associés inc .

In 2000, J. Maurice’s sons, Jean-Pierre and Philippe Tardif, purchased the company with the idea of ??pursuing the same objective quality while adopting a management style focused on growth, both organic and acquisitions.

During the same year, to increase its strength and market the company enters the AssurExperts banner and becomes AssurExperts Groupe Tardif.

In 2005, in order to strengthen its regional position AssurExperts Groupe Tardif merges with AssurExperts Winner Lachance Inc. , owned by Réal Goudreau .

In 2006, Groupe Tardif AssurExperts acquired Assurance Sacalabrini Disraeli, whose owners are Yvon and Patrice Scalabrini.

In 2007, the company changed its banner to assurancia and thus became Assurancia Groupe Tardif. During this same year, assurancia Groupe Tardif opened a branch in Guadeloupe.

In 2008, the company acquired Assurance Thibault & Gingues in Sherbrooke , whose owners are Mrs. France Lafleche and Claude Gingues .

In 2012, the company acquired two firms: Assurancia EstrieSherbrooke and assurancia Groupe Laurence in St-Hyacinthe.
